| Well, not exactly Lord Vader. It's been a while since I've posted here, but I'll try to get back on this horse and start writing again. I also owe Mike a detailed account of my trip to Japan (it's on the way!).
Life has been pretty hectic lately, although it's been going well. I'm studying for the GMATs right now, which don't look like much fun. They're like the evil cousin of the GREs. With that exam the math section was easy and the verbal section was nuts. With the GMAT it's the other way around, with a pretty easy verbal section and a bizarre math section. I still have a few more weeks to study, though, so hopefully the exam will go well.
Right now I'm at the Deis (I can take pictures if anyone misses it), about to go to the radio station meeting. Yes, I still act as an advisor. Not sure how much longer I'm going to stay, though, since it's quite a trek from where I'm living now. For anyone who hasn't been back to campus for a while, though, the student center is still green.
Anyways, I need to run. Shout out and let me know you're still reading, and I'll keep the good stuff coming. Haha.

| Hola,
Surprise! It's a new post! Well, I know I've been away for a while, but I plan on posting my thoughts from time to time up here again.
I hope all is well out here in the Xanga-sphere. Work has been hectic as always, although it's going quite well. Tomorrow night I'm off to the roller derby with Matt and friends, and it should be a blast! I will have to document the craziness once I get back from it.
Cheers for now, and I'll write again soon!

| I just realized how much I miss writing music. For a change I decided to dust off my guitar and give it a whirl, and played some of the songs I had worked on in the past. I then pulled out one of my notebooks that I used to scribble songs in and sang a few out loud, and they're not half bad! Like, I was seriously getting excited about my music again, which was a fantastic feeling!
While going to school I rarely had time to do anything creative, which really bugged me throughout my four years at Brandeis. Now that I'm working, but don't have homework, I can actually take some time at night to write, play music, or just completely veg out (which we all need from time to time). Also, as for an update on NaNoWriMo, I'm not really in a position to "win," but I still have managed to write over 80 pages in the span of four weeks, so I'm pretty proud of myself. :)
As for life updates, this past weekend I went home and spent the holiday with my family and Ben, who was down from school up in NH. It was a very relaxing weekend, with many an Avatar and Invader Zim episodes watched. I also saw The Departed, which was amazing, and on Saturday I saw Casino Royale with Brian, which was entertaining, although not as engrossing as the former.
Now I'm settling back into the routine of the real world (ugh!). This week has been crazy at work so far, mainly due to the catching up involved after a four day weekend. Things should return to normal next week, though. :)

| Don't you worry, I'm still here. :) Life has just been a bit hectic lately, and I haven't had time to do much of anything. Work has been absolutely crazy, since I'm now on four accounts, which is the norm for the bulk of the positions at my office. Most days I either stay a little late or work through my lunch, though, which isn't so much fun.
As for life outside of work, it's been pretty busy as well, but in a good way. I spent the past two weeks in New York City, and saw pretty much everyone who's now living in the city. The highlight was probably last Saturday night. We had gone to an 80's bar called The Joshua Tree, but around 1:00 a.m. people started getting antsy so we left, and decided to try another bar that Jess suggested, which was located on Madison Avenue. So we get to Madison and take a left, thinking we're going the right way, which we weren't, but that's okay (you'll find out why soon). We ended up in front of this ritzy looking club with spiral pillars and a bunch of people standing in front of it with cameras. All of a sudden the cameras start flashing, and the next time I know Jess (other Jess) is screaming "OH MY GOD, IT'S STEVE MARTIN!!!" My eyes darted to the entrance, where sure enough a man with white hair in a sharp suit strolled by. Sweet!!
In other news, I'm still working on my NaNoWriMo novel, but am a bit behind. I'm on page 58, though, and am hoping to make some headway both this weekend and next, with the whole holiday break coming up.
Also, last night I went on a hot date with Jon to the movies and my personal favorite restaurant, TGI Fridays. Good news is, I didn't get food poisoning! YAAAAY! Also, a few weeks back one of the challenges on Top Chef was for the contestants to create a dish to be used on the TGIF menu. Betty ended up winning with her portobello grilled cheese with fire-roasted pepper soup, and I decided to give it a try. I have to admit it was pretty good, but not as delicious as Jon's brownie caramel fudge sundae. ::drool::

| Just wanted to write a quick post to express my extreme joy the Carol Shea-Porter just was announced as the winner in New Hampshire's First District for the US House of Representatives! All along she was the long shot, but she just beat the Republican incumbent in what was a truly heated contest. For starters, Shea-Porter had raised several million dollars less than her opponent Jeb Bradley, but her message and her drive led her to victory tonight!
This is the one race in New Hampshire that I really took personally, to be honest, so I couldn't be happier. Out of all of New Hampshire's US Senators/Representatives, only Jeb Bradley voted for the Federal Marriage Amendment, so I'm glad to see him go. Shea-Porter also wants to push for a new direction in Iraq, and also a solution to the nation's huge deficit. She also stands for treating all citizens equally, so I applaud her on that.
I'm somewhat sad to see Rep. Charlie Bass go in the 2nd District. He was a moderate Republican voice in the House, and has sided time and time again with basic fairness. Then again, having New Hampshire turn from a fiery magenta state to a deep, royal purple state is definitely a breath of fresh air.
Yeah New Hampshire!
